Ghana 2015| Vlog #6|Going to Church

Happy Monday!

Today I bring to you Ghana 2015|Vlog # 6|Going to Church!

In this vlog, my family and I attend my mother’s church, Dunwell Methodist church in Nyankyerease in the Kwadaso District. It was still Kumasi and literally 5 minutes from our house. When I last visited Ghana in 2012, my mom and I walked there.

After church with my mommy!

That’s how close to our home it is. This church service was better than the last service I went to in 2012 because the preacher preached/taught in both English and Twi. That made it easier for me to follow along with the message. However, the service was too long. It was from 9:30am-1:00pm. The service included bible study (which is what I initially thought was the sermon…lol), tithe & praise, the choir ministering, finally the sermon, two offerings and some more singing. It definitely wasn’t as painful as the service I attended in 2012 but it was still too long. The preacher prayed for us because my mom told him (ahead of time) we were traveling back to the US. He prayed for our safe travel back and our family as a whole. I also introduced myself to the church. It was really sweet. I didn’t vlog any of this because I was up the there receiving the prayer and I didn’t know who to trust with my camera.

My brother, sis in law and niece.

We return home, eat lunch, I give a house tour and I also show off my new cloth that I bough the day before at the Vlisco store in Accra Mall. This Sunday was pretty chill. Later that evening, my mom, my sister in law, my brother and my niece went to visit three of my mom’s neighbors. I chose to nap and delete ish (that was taking up storage) off of my laptop. I just wanted to be alone in my room. I needed time to to regroup, especially after being around people all day. #TheLifeofAnIntrovert.

Below are some pictures I took that day!

Sunday’s Best Werk!

This picture below is my FAVORITE from the entire trip! These sisters were all kinds of cute! I call this picture Three Little Girls.Β  Check them out in action in my vlog at 17:24. I spotted them as soon as they walked into the church because of their hair and pink dresses. #Showstoppers
